Shift Change Acknowledgements

The Shift Change Acknowledgement Report provides a way for staff to acknowledge they've read all the Staff Shift Change Notes and Nursing Progress Notes throughout the last five days. The Shift Change Acknowledgments serves as a great communication tool.

Enter a Staff Shift Change Note or a Nursing Progress Note

  1. Click on "Add Shift Change Notes" or "Add Nursing Progress Notes" under the "Charting" tab.
  2. Select the resident(s) for whom the notes will be entered.
  3. Click the "Next" button to continue.
  4. Fill out the form.
    • Enter the notes for each selected resident.
    • Click the "Staff signature" button to sign the notes.
  5. Click the "Save" button to finish.

Complete the Shift Change Acknowledgement Report

  1. Click on "Shift Change Acknowledgement" under the "Charting" tab.
  2. Select the community for which report must be completed by clicking "Select."
  3. Read the unread notes, and then click on "I have read the notes for" button to acknowledge that those notes have been read.
  4. Click the "Save" button to finish.
