Setup: Service Items

Setup: Service Items contains a list of all of the service items that were previously selected when setting up a nursing assessment and service plan. Further customization of these items can be done here.

Understanding the Setup: Service Items Form

  1. Click on "Community Record" under the "Community" tab.
  2. Click on “Setup: Service Items” under “Care” in the “Setup” dropdown.
  3. Fill out the form.
    • When creating a service plan, these items are used as defaults in the service plan. For example, when "Behavioral Management" is selected, the default value will be "CNA" because it is chosen here.
    • New services can be added by clicking on the "New Entry" button and filling out the form. Once saved, the new service will be an option when creating a service plan.
    • The 'care tracking' feature can be used to determine the amount of care given to a resident every month. Values can be given to each level of assistance for each service item.
    • A default description can be added to different service items. A default description is useful for service items that generally have the same description for every service plan. The description will still be editable in each service plan, but will contain the default description if one is added here.
  4. Click the "Save" button to finish.
