Nursing Notes

Nursing Notes allow the ability to document a medical note in a resident record, track events, identify resident specific trends and connect nursing progress notes to Behavior Plans, Incident Reports or any specific Trackable Event.

Navigating the Nursing Notes

  1. Click on "Select Resident" under the "Resident" tab.
  2. Select a resident.
  3. Click on "Nursing Notes" in the "Nursing" dropdown.
  • A list of current Nursing Notes for the resident will be displayed.
  • Nursing Notes can be filtered by date using the search bar.

Create a New Nursing Note

  1. Click the "New Entry" button.
  2. Fill out the form.
    • The Nursing Note can be connected to different plans, reports, or events.
    • Connecting a Nursing Note is helpful because it reminds staff to end/complete the Nursing Note once the connected plan, report, or event has ended or resloved.
    • Connected Nursing Notes help view the Nursing Notes directly from the connected plan, report, or event.
    • A new plan, report, or event can be entered straight from the Nursing Notes form.
    • Select the "Do Not Show on Shift Change Report" button if other staff members don't need to read a Nursing Note.
  3. Click the "Save" button to finish.
